# Generate Athena DDL from the Governed Model

Close the loop: governed meaning rides back out as CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE COMMENTs.

Import your catalog, then generate coremodels_glue_tables.sql from the governed model: Athena/Hive CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE statements with column COMMENTs (governed taxonomies ride them), PARTITIONED BY from partition-key metadata, STORED AS PARQUET, and a placeholder LOCATION you set before running. Generation is a read-only act you run from the landing page; the script arrives as an artifact for review.
