# dbt project

Bring a dbt estate under governance, the baseline the publication contract builds on.

The plain on-ramp for the dbt connector. Upload the artifacts dbt already produces (no credentials) and models, seeds, snapshots and sources become governed Types, columns become Elements, accepted_values tests become vocabularies, relationships become references, and parent_map becomes lineage. On its own this is an estate description, not governed meaning. The value appears when a human governs meaning on top of it and publishes it back. For that path, start from the publication-contract recipe instead.

## What you do

1. Your models, columns, tests and lineage land as a governed model.
2. The Models and Vocabularies grids open configured, with ownership columns ready.
3. Pick a recipe next — this is the baseline every dbt recipe builds on.
